73% of Australian households own at least one pet, and, out of these 7.7 million homes, no less than 78.5% of them take care of either a cat or a dog. It’s easy to see why, right? Dogs and cats are the most popular types of pets on our planet; they are ubiquitous with the modern living of present-day Aussies, they are available in a huge variety of sizes and breeds, and, most importantly, they are affectionate creatures that can form genuine bonds with their handlers. That said, not everybody can afford keeping cats or dogs as pets.
