Its main function is to remove moisture from the wet soap base (soap noodles or soap mass) to produce a dry, solid, and consistent soap suitable for bar formation. A soap drying machine (also called a vacuum drying plant or soap dryer) is a machine used to dry soap noodles or freshly saponified soap by reducing its moisture content from around 30–35% down to about 12–15%. This is necessary before the soap can be plodded, stamped, and packed into bars.
